Corn Pinole
Made from our heirloom Pima 60 day corn, an ancient flour corn prized for its flavor and texture. The mature ears are hand-picked and shelled, next, the kernels are mesquite parched and stone milled to produce this delicious ancient “fast food” used by Pima runners as they traveled from village to village carrying important news.
Serving suggestion: Mix 2-3 heaping tablespoons of HUUN HAHK CHU’I into 8 oz. of water, milk or your favorite fruit juice. Stir thoroughly and drink! Keep stirring as the CHU’I will settle to the bottom of the glass. It is an excellent source of protein, fiber and carbohydrates! Add it to your smoothies for a quick and nutritious meal. ENJOY!
